STATEMENT TO THE DAY OF THE WORKING WOMAN. March 8, 2010

This year's International Day of Working Women is held in a context of global economic crisis that is crushing the life chances of people in the working world to end unbearable.

According to the LFS (Labour Force Survey) Most women remain in the black economy in precarious work and also work part time, which represent over 76% of the workforce.

We want to highlight in particular the situation of poor working women, many of them immigrants, domestic workers, workers in service industries in the economy ... also the situation of women are mainly performing tasks and domestic roles.

The above situations are not coincidental. Are the formulas by which capitalism seeks to sustain, making people and their families as producers and consumers to service profitability, causing impoverishment and dehumanization.

is necessary, therefore, that the agreements between business, government and trade unions put on the table so the labor rights of women, rights that allow them to be mothers and to develop their vocation or career.
